What personal data we collect and why we collect it
By default WordPress (the content management system that this website is built on) does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users (such as website administrators).

This site does collect personal information when a user submits one of our website forms.
We keep information submitted through our web forms indefinitely and use it solely for the purpose of contacting you for customer service purposes.
We do not sell any personal information.

If you fill out a contact form, or another form on this site (such as our Donation Request inquiry form, or any of our other service forms) we will collect your name, email address, phone number and other basic contact information and details you provide through the form. We collect this information solely for the purpose of contacting you and fulfilling your request.

Personal information provided to make a donation or fill out an online form will not be sold or shared with anyone other than The Charity and the payment processor to securely process your transaction.

When you make a donation your name, contact information and payment information is collected directly from our payment processor, through a secure donation platform. We do not collect or store your credit card information on this website or our website servers.

Volunteer Sign Up
Information provided by volunteers and visitors will be used by The Charity to coordinate and track volunteer projects and to communicate with volunteers about The Charity opportunities and activities. Such information will not be used for commercial, personal, or unlawful purposes.

How long we retain your data
We keep contact form entries, donor contact information, volunteer contact information and analytics records indefinitely.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
